KMV organizes an educational visit to IISER, Mohali

Jalandhar 16 April (Gurkirat Singh)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage Institution, Jalandhar organized an educational visit to Indian Institute of Science Educational & Research, Mohali for the students of B.Sc. Non-Medical and Computer Science semester-IV. In this visit 50 students participated. The motive behind this educational visit was to enhance the knowledge of the students about the various innovative demonstrations of physics concepts. At IISER, Mohali students firstly visited the e-room and watched audio-visual regarding the establishment of various IISER institutes in all over the country and the role of IISER, Mohali in National Research Project. Students visited high-tech physics labs where they saw different apparatus based on phenomena’s like stefan’s constant, equipotential surface, parallel plate capacitor, flux, magnetic field, SQUID apparatus and radon sampling of A.C. source. Students also visited the lab having different furnaces which work at different temperature including arc furnace and also visited ultra low temperature lab where temperature of helium was maintained at 0.01K.  Principal  KMV Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the faculty of science to organize such an eye-opener trip for the students about research and innovative ideas.
